September 5, 2012 -- Photo Ninja succeeds Noise Ninja
For almost a decade, photographers around the world have relied on Noise Ninja, our award-winning noise reduction software, to improve their images. Today, we are excited to announce Noise Ninja's successor: Photo Ninja, a state-of-the-art raw converter that achieves a very high level of image quality.
Naturally, Photo Ninja includes our latest and best noise reduction, Noise Ninja 3.0. But it offers much, much more, including world-class detail enhancement, highlight recovery, and adaptive lighting.
Photo Ninja is the outcome of an intensive, "bet-the-company" research and development effort. A diverse group of professional and enthusiast photographers actively participated in an extended beta test and significantly influenced the feature set.
After we released Noise Ninja in 2003, it quickly gained wide adoption and a reputation for excellence. Based on feedback from the beta test, we expect the same thing will happen with Photo Ninja. It has been a challenging project, but we have managed to develop highly effective technology in several key areas, and users are reporting excellent results. (One industry veteran whose opinion we trust told us plainly that "it raises one's expectations of what can be obtained from a digital photo.")
We would like to say "Thank you!" to the many photographers who purchased Noise Ninja over the last several years. We hope Photo Ninja will also find its way into your workflow.
