Noise Profiles
Look here for noise profiles for your camera or scanner. It is easy and quick to create your own profiles; see the User Guide for details.

Licensing: You may download the software for free. However, certain features are restricted, and images are watermarked with a grid pattern when you save them, unless you purchase a Home Bundle or Pro Bundle license. If you already have a Home Standalone or Pro Standalone license, you can upgrade to the corresponding Bundle edition for $10. See the purchase page for details.

Compatibility: Photoshop CS, CS2, and CS3 support all features of the Noise Ninja plug-in. Some features like actions and automatic profile matching might not be available on other hosts, especially non-Adobe hosts. Basic functionality has been reported to work with Photoshop Elements and Paint Shop Pro. ULead PhotoImpact does not work with the current version of the plugin.

Known issues

On Mac OS X 10.4.6, the third-party utility CopyPaste-X 2.7.3 causes Noise Ninja to crash. Disabling CopyPaste-X solves the problem.

Installation instructions for Mac OS X (Intel and PowerPC)

1a. If you are using Photoshop CS3 or Elements 6 on an Intel Mac, click here to download. This is a native Intel binary that will only run with the Intel Mac version of CS3 or Elements 6. It will not run with CS2 or any other version of Photoshop, because those are not native Intel applications (they are PowerPC applicatons that run under the Rosetta emulator when executed on Intel Macs). NOTE: Versions of StuffIt Expander prior to 8.0.2 will not decompress the ZIP file correctly. If you have an older version of StuffIt upgrade to the latest free version here.(7 megabytes)

1b. If you are using any other version of Photoshop, on either an Intel or PowerPC Mac (or CS3/Elements 6 on a PowerPC Mac), click here to download. This is a PowerPC binary that will run on PowerPC Macs natively or on Intel Macs under the Rosetta emulator (emulation is automatic, you don't need to do anything to make it happen). NOTE: Versions of StuffIt Expander prior to 8.0.2 will not decompress the ZIP file correctly. If you have an older version of StuffIt upgrade to the latest free version here.(7 megabytes)
